Wills
It is very important for everyone to make a Will. The law of intestacy (dying without a Will) can be complex and may not reflect your wishes.

Powers of Attorney
Many are unaware of the terms of the Adults With Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 and its implications for those wishing to deal with the finances and/or welfare of friends and relatives. A Power of Attorney allows you to appoint someone you trust to deal with your affairs if you become unable to do so. It is important that consideration is given to such matters before an adult becomes incapacitated rather than after the fact. In much the same way as making a Will, matters can often be easier for relatives or others by granting a Power of Attorney at an early stage. We can provide advice in this regard and assist you in the preparation of a Power of Attorney and with dealing with the Office of the Public Guardian for Scotland.
Executries
